1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SlasProp ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Platform. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Platform.
2. Description of Service
SlasProp is a real estate technology platform that provides:
- Property listing and discovery services
- Secure payment processing through escrow
- Identity verification (KYC) services
- Transaction management and tracking
- Communication tools between buyers and sellers
- Property verification services
3. User Accounts
3.1 Registration
To use certain features of the Platform, you must register for an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Maintain the security of your password and account
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
3.2 Account Verification (KYC)
Certain features require identity verification. By completing KYC, you authorize us to verify your identity through third-party services. False or misleading information may result in account termination.
4. Property Listings
4.1 Listing Requirements
Users listing properties represent and warrant that they:
- Have legal authority to list and sell/rent the property
- Provide accurate and truthful property information
- Have valid title documents or authorization from the owner
- Will disclose all material defects and encumbrances
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
4.2 Prohibited Listings
The following are prohibited:
- Properties you don't have authority to list
- Fraudulent or misleading listings
- Properties with unresolved legal disputes
- Properties that violate zoning or other regulations
5. Transactions and Escrow
5.1 Escrow Services
All property transactions on SlasProp utilize our escrow service. When a buyer makes a payment:
- Funds are held in a secure escrow account
- Funds are released only upon completion of agreed milestones
- Both parties must confirm completion before release
- Disputes are handled through our resolution process
5.2 Fees
The following fees apply to transactions:
- Platform Fee: 2.5% of transaction value
- Escrow Fee: 1.5% of transaction value
- Payment Gateway Fees: Variable based on payment method
Fees are clearly displayed before payment confirmation and are non-refundable for completed transactions.
5.3 Refunds
Refunds are available under the following circumstances:
- Transaction cancelled before escrow funding
- Dispute resolved in buyer's favor
- Property verification failure
- Mutual agreement between parties
6. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Infringe on intellectual property rights
- Transmit harmful code or malware
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Use the Platform for money laundering or fraud
- Circumvent security measures
- Create multiple accounts for fraudulent purposes
- Manipulate or falsify property information
7. Intellectual Property
The Platform and its content, features, and functionality are owned by SlasProp and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
8. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Platform, you consent to our data practices.
9. Disclaimers
9.1 Platform Role
SlasProp is a marketplace platform and is not a party to any real estate transaction. We do not:
- Guarantee the accuracy of property listings
- Verify all claims made by users
- Provide legal, financial, or real estate advice
- Guarantee the completion of any transaction
9.2 As-Is Service
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SLASPROP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:
- Your use or inability to use the Platform
- Any unauthorized access to your account
- Any third-party conduct on the Platform
- Any property transaction conducted through the Platform
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SlasProp, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the Platform or violation of these Terms.
12. Dispute Resolution
12.1 Transaction Disputes
For disputes between buyers and sellers, our internal dispute resolution process applies. Decisions are binding unless appealed within 7 days.
12.2 Platform Disputes
Any disputes with SlasProp shall be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the rules of the Lagos Court of Arbitration. The arbitration shall be conducted in Lagos, Nigeria.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict of law principles.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or Platform notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
15. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion for violation of these Terms or for any other reason. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately.
